How did you come up with the name ?
Just like you and I, we are not perfect. We’re trying to succeed in this economic crisis through obstacles that may be holding us back from achieving our goals and dreams. The term “Social Villains” is more than a brand, its a lifestyle through the art of hustle along with the daily grind to survive.
In every city, block or alley, whether you’re black, yellow or brown, there is Social Villains trying come up on top.
Description of clothing line ?
Social Villains is a lifestyle brand which people can relate to because we’re all villains in some ways.
We’re experimenting and creating fresh graphics into street wear, no matter what turf your in.
Trying to exceed peoples expectation on the quality of detail to the garments and the brand.
Who are your influences ?
Mainly the people who are all about hip-hop, but definitely inspired by music, poets, films, graffiti and books.
There are a few urban brands out there that inspire us but mainly our own individuality that separates us all which makes a huge influence us.
What sets your brand different from others ?
Bringing quality, fresh ideas, and uniqueness to the game.
Our goal is to simply be real, not only to ourselves, but to the people and show them what we’re all about. F**K THE HYPE!
Are there any challenges you run into while running a business ?
Just trying to fight our way through these obstacles with the economy, but that doesn’t stop us from reaching our destination. We’re also trying to represent the brand and to get them to understand what we’re all about, as well as getting out there, not only in the bay area but worldwide.
Any plans for the future with your clothing line ?
We are about to release the new collection to the line for Spring 2010 called “The Secret Society.”
Also debuting cut in sew and collaborations with New Era and Elm for fitteds.
